Have you ever finished a book and wished you hadn't finished it so you wouldn't be finished? That's how I feel about World After.
One of the things I love about Susan Ee's writing is that there is so little internal thought. I read so many books with pages and pages of a character thinking, thinking, thinking, usually the same thoughts over and over. It's boring. It reminds me of when I wrote a term paper and it wasn't long enough so I padded it with miscellaneous words that added nothing.
Susan Ee writes short paragraphs and short chapters. What this translates to is lots of action. It's the kind of book that I can't read fast enough, and therein lies the dilemma. I want to finish, but I don't want to finish.
Now the long wait for her next book. Good thing I have a few others ready to keep me busy until it comes out.
