Day 20 ~ Another favorite romance book
See how I got around Day 20's challenge? Did anyone really think I could come up with a favorite romance book, as in one favorite over all the others? Not likely.
As far as I can recall (which is not all that far, sometimes), Mistress of Mellyn is the first romance book I ever read and it's had a special place in my heart ever since. My mother read the book and passed it along to me, which makes it move up to the extra special place in my heart. I guess you could say it's my mother's fault I'm addicted to romance novels. I'm forever grateful!
The heroine is a governess. Her charge is a spoiled and difficult little girl. The father is the arrogant master of a mansion above the cliffs of Cornwall. There are family secrets (are you surprised?)
There is a romantic, deeply satisfying HEA. Le Sigh.
